Flinders Primary School Presents "The Addams Family" on 19 June

Our Flinders Primary School is presenting the best-selling Broadway musical, “The Addams Family”, in the Flinders Performance Centre on Thursday, 19 June—and tickets are on sale now!

Presented over two 30-minute shows, this mesmerising production has been adapted for young performers and is presented by 48 students in Year 6 as part of their Semester One SCISSA opportunities.

Students have been rehearsing throughout Semester One, guided by our Head of Music in the Primary, Mrs Amy Armitage, and supported by many members of staff across the areas of acting and vocal support, costume design, set and prop design, stage lighting, audio and technical design. 

Parents are also helping to bring the production to life by sourcing costumes, adding detailed embellishments and applying stage makeup before each performance to ensure every character shines on stage.

SYNOPSIS 

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart, young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met. She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.

Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
